Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 2 tablespoons sugar
  • - 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1 3/4 cups milk
  • - 1/2 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. - In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. - Lightly grease the waffle maker if needed.
  6. - Pour batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown and crisp.
  7. - Serve warm with syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra crispy waffles, let them rest on a wire rack for 1–2 minutes.
- You can add chocolate chips or blueberries to the batter before cooking.
